I came across some photos of old Turkish soldiers called Bashi Bazouks, who were a sort of skirmisher / irregular soldier. Apparently they were unpaid, and relied on looting to earn wealth, so their garb was mostly made up of layers of stolen clothing that they piled on.
I did a pen sketch, and liked it enough that I thought a rendered version could accompany a new mixtape I’m working on. This is pretty much where I decided to finish. It came out alright, though the surfaces look a bit plastic-like to me.
